How I got here
I became a nurse because I wanted to help people feel cared for. Really cared for. The kind of care where someone leaves feeling seen, comfortable, and a little more like themselves.
I spent years working in oncology, and that experience shaped me in ways I didn't expect. Being alongside people during some of the hardest moments of their lives taught me something I carry into everything I do now. Life is meant to be lived fully. Every bit of confidence, comfort, and joy you can give yourself matters.
Aesthetics was a natural next step. I trained at Derma Medical and built a nurse-led aesthetics practice in Norwich because I believe small, thoughtful changes can make a real difference to how someone feels when they look in the mirror. Not dramatic transformations. Just that quiet confidence you get when your outside matches how you feel on the inside.
What I love most about this work is the connection. My clients aren't just appointments. They come back, they tell me how they're feeling, they send me photos when they're having a good skin day. That's the part of this job that I genuinely look forward to every time.
Before aesthetics, I also worked as a community nurse, visiting people in their own homes. That experience taught me how to deliver the same high standard of care outside a clinical setting. I learned how to prepare properly, keep everything sterile and organised, and make people feel at ease in their own space. It's a skill set that translates perfectly to what I do now.
